An online platform allows anyone to report misconduct, guarantees anonymity and enables two-way communication with whistleblowers. As of 2016, reports to this website had been responsible for the launch of 401 preliminary proceedings.

Nach langer Zeit politischer Untätigkeit wächst in Österreich infolge internationalen Drucks sowie einer Reihe hochkarätiger Skandale aus Politik und Finanzwelt das Interesse an besserem Hinweisgeberschutz. Obwohl es nach wie vor kein ausgewiesenes Whistleblower-Gesetz gibt, stehen zumindest Angestellte im öffentlichen Dienst seit 2012 unter einem gewissen Schutz. Darüber hinaus enthalten das Arbeitsrecht wie auch die Verfassung gewisse Regulierungen, die Hinweisgebern helfen können. Auf der politischen Agenda findet das Thema wenig Beachtung.
